Dynamics of apicultural production chain of Paraná: productive characteristics and transactional relations

Abstract

ABSTRACT In this paper we present the main features of functioning of productive and transactional apiculture chain of Paraná. To do so, considering the theoretical scope of Economics of transaction costs, an inductive research of descriptive type, and 68 from interviews with beekeepers. The results show improvements in the productive structure of the segments of suppliers, producers and processors. Enroll improving apicultural production process, with the introduction of new techniques and acquisition of modern equipment, as well as processing actions aimed at increasing the productive diversification and specialization. However, there are problems that restrict the best performance, as the lack of knowledge, incorrect handling, product counterfeiting, opportunism in transactions and low specialization of producers. key words Classificação JEL: Honey; Governance; Transaction costs; Competitive.
