Macroeconomia neoclássica contemporânea: novos-keynesianos e novos-clássicos

Abstract

During the 60s, in macroeconomics, the John Hicks’s ideas won easely the' political and academic debate. But, already in the 70s, the answer ofered by this theory do not get explain a reality of inflation and unemployment. From these dificulties, borned the new-classical school, with a new way of thinking economic suported by Walras's ideas. In spite of this, soon these economists received hard critique from a legion of authors (imprecisely) called new- -keynesian. Nevertheless, a thing calls our look: these criticizians has many things in common with the new-classical that they want to supplant. Our objective in this article is study this two schools of economic thought, emphasizing the concepts of rationality and equilibrium. This discussion is important because those schools are called mainstream economies and, today, domain, perhaps in retoric, the academies, government, press and International instituts.
