Mudança no regime cambial da China

Abstract

In this paper we analyze the new exchange rate regime in China. We argue that the gradualist option of chinese policymakers reflects the necessity of manage contradictory pressures over the external value of the yuan renminbi. We emphasize the international context of payments imbalances among U.S. economy and the rest of the world, especially the asian economies.
