Mercado de trabalho na Região Metropolitana de Porto Alegre em 2014: desempenho pouco favorável

O objetivo deste artigo é analisar o desempenho do mercado de trabalho da Região Metropolitana de Porto Alegre (RMPA) em 2014, utilizando como principal fonte empírica a Pesquisa de Emprego e Desemprego na RMPA (PED-RMPA). Em um cenário econômico de baixo crescimento, o mercado de trabalho na RMPA já começa a mostrar sinais de desaceleração, como o recuo do nível ocupacional. Em termos gerais, o processo de saída de pessoas da força de trabalho, ainda que, na margem, mostre sinais de reversão, permitiu a continuidade da redução da taxa de desemprego, mesmo com a queda da ocupação. A trajetória do rendimento médio real dos ocupados em 2014 mostrou-se desfavorável em relação aos últimos anos.

Abstract
This paper analyzes the performance of the labor market in the Metropolitan Area of Porto Alegre (RMPA) in 2014, using the Employment and Unemployment Survey in RMPA (PED-RMPA) as the main empirical source. Considering the economic environment of low growth, there are signs of slowdown in the labor market in the RMPA, such as the reduction of the employment level. Overall, the process characterized by people leaving the workforce, despite some signs of reversal, has enabled the continued reduction in the unemployment rate, even with the decline in the employment. The trajectory of average labor earnings of employed workers was unfavorable in 2014 compared to previous years.
