A recuperação da economia norte-americana diante da crise econômica mundial

RESUMO
O presente artigo tem por objetivo fazer uma avaliação da recuperação econômica dos EUA pós crise de 2008-09. Para tanto, pretende-se inseri-la dentro de algumas das transformações de caráter estrutural que a economia mundial tem passado nos últimos 20 anos. Assim, numa primeira parte são apresentados alguns indicadores da economia norte-americana do período 2000-12, procurando avaliar o impacto quantitativo, tanto da crise como do período de recuperação. A seguir, procura-se entender o significado da crise dentro das características que marcaram o mais recente processo de globalização da economia mundial. Finalmente, apresentam-se algumas considerações finais.

ABSTRACT
This paper aims to evaluate the economic recovery of the USA after the 2008-09 crisis. In order to analyze this process, it intends to understand the current crisis within the framework of structural changes that the world economy has faced in the last 20 years. In the first part, it´s presented some indicators of the American economy for the 2000-12 period. Secondly, it aims to understand the meaning of the crisis considering the characteristic of the recent process of globalization. Finally, it presents some final comments.
