Comportamento setorial da ocupação na RMPA (2006-11)

Utilizando os dados da PED/RMPA, este artigo busca analisar o comportamento setorial da ocupação na Região Metropolitana de Porto Alegre (RMPA), entre 2006 e 2011. Procura-se discutir os principais aspectos da evolução dos níveis ocupacionais na indústria de transformação, nos serviços, no comércio e na construção civil. Os resultados principais mostram a predominância da ocupação nos serviços, sendo o setor responsável por absorver mais da metade da mão de obra no período. Por outro lado, indicam a perda de participação relativa da indústria de transformação na ocupação total, com destaque para a queda do nível ocupacional no setor calçadista. Além disso, o momento favorável pelo qual a construção civil vem passando nos últimos anos, refletiu-se, também, em altas taxas de crescimento dos ocupados no setor.

Abstract
This paper analyzes, using data from the PED/RMPA, the behavior of sectorial employment in the metropolitan area of Porto Alegre (RMPA), between 2006 and 2011. It discusses the main aspects of the evolution of occupational levels in Manufacturing Industry, Services, Trade and Construction. The main results show the predominance of employment in services, the sector absorbed more than half of the workforce in the period. On the other hand, the data indicate relative share loss of manufacturing industry in total employment, highlighting the fall of occupational level in the footwear sector. Moreover, the favorable moment that the Construction sector has experienced in recent years, also was reflected in high employment growth in the sector.
