Resumo

The purpose of this paper is to discuss the main reasons of the
clusters' formation process in hi-tech industries. In t h is kind of industry,
the innovative process needs a complex system of Information exchange
among firms. Its because of the tacit and specific component and the
complex and systemic characteristic of the relevant knowledge base.
Because of these characteristics of the technological trajectories in hi-
tech industries, there is a incentive to the spatial concentration of the
innovative firms, which contributes to the formation of industrial clusters.
