Geração e apropriação do valor adicionado na indústria brasileira: um estudo da dinâmica distributiva no período 1990-96
Resumo
This paper investigates the production and distribution dynamics of
the Brazilian industry in the 90's (1990/96). On the one hand, we examine
the production aspect, i. e., the value-added to the industry in light of the
evolution of the sectoral labour productivity. On the other hand, the study
of the distributive process is based on the evolution of sectoral mark-ups.
The results show that the distribution dynamics has favored the capital
gains to the detriment of the labour income. This could partly explain the
low growth rates of the Brazilian economy during the period, if we consider
the fact that capital gains do not necessarily change into net additions to
the stock of real capital.
