A burguesia industrial gaúcha nos anos 30: a defesa da "representação das classes" como forma de participação política

Marli Mertz

Resumo

The paper seeks to examine the insertion of Rio Grande do Sul’s
industrial bourgeoisie in the process of change of the Brazilian State after
the 1930 Revolution.
It analyses the organization of the "Centro das Indústrias Fabris —
CINFA", that represented the establishment of Rio Grande do Sul's industrial
entrepreneurs as a class, with differentiated interests inside civil
society with respect to other bourgeois groups — agrarian, commercial,
and financial. It defined specific points of view and interests for the sector,
attempting at a formulation of an alternative project of reorientation of
society in its favor, by means of the defense of Class Representation, that
consubstantiates itself in a form of corporative organization of society.
