A construção da política de segurança alimentar e nutricional: o caso de Porto Alegre*

Resumen

RESUMO O presente artigo tem como objetivo apresentar a trajetória da política de segurança alimentar e nutricional (SAN) no País, através do exame de seu marco regulatório. Além disso, realiza uma breve síntese acerca do funcionamento da rede de equipamentos públicos de alimentação e nutrição (restaurantes populares, cozinhas comunitárias e bancos de alimentos) no Município de Porto Alegre. Conclui-se que houve importantes avanços institucionais na política de SAN. Contudo, sua efetiva implantação se encontra bastante incipiente, apesar dos esforços dos três níveis de governo nesse sentido.
