United States economic recovery in face of the world economic crisis

Abstract

ABSTRACT This paper aims to evaluate the USA economic recovery after the 2008-09 crisis. In order to analyze this process, it intends to understand the current crisis within the framework of structural changes that the world economy has faced in the last 20 years. In the first part, some indicators of the American economy are presented for the 2000-12 period. Secondly, it aims to understand the meaning of the crisis considering the characteristics of the recent process of globalization. The text ends with some final comments.
