Abstract

ABSTRACT The article describes Rio Grande do Sul’s export performance in 2011. It analyzes the most important products in the export basket of the State, i.e., soy complex – soya beans, cake and oil – tobacco, cereals - rice and wheat - meats - poultry and swine – footwear, tractors and other agricultural machinery. It also evaluates the most important markets that import products from Rio Grande do Sul and the prospects for future changes in the composition of the export basket and in countries of destination.
