Abstract

This paper aims to examine the professional high school in Brazil from the perspective of contemporary federal policies that have as an important turning the search for a new level of professional education. Thus, we work on the socio-historical and ideological aspects that have guided the policy of profession education restructuring and planning to face challenges in recent years by a model of economic growth in transition to a developmental model bias, which overlaps the previous liberal vision.
