Características dos produtores de leite do RS: uma análise a partir do Corede Nordeste

Abstract

The article, starting from a regional perspective, has as objective characterizes the producing of the raw material milk, of a region of the Rio Grande do Sul called “Corede Nordeste”, in their relationships with the market that surrounds it. For that, it was programmed a field research with a sample of 190 milk´s producers. It was verified that the producers of this region is working in the activity 15 years ago, and they presents a low education degree and the handling is exercised in 70,83% by their wives, including of the incomes and expenses information. It was observed that the handling and administration information received by the several agents of the market are not compatible with the market needs. Finally, was concluded that one of the main problems of the production is the price of the milk and the lack of agricultural credit with compatible interest rates with the activity milk. That fact is a difficulty to accelerate still more the development of the sector.
