Concentração e especialização em setores industriais na região Noroeste Colonial do Rio Grande do Sul

Abstract

The paper analyzes the industrial concentration in the sectors of the wood and of the furniture, textile and metal-mechanic in the Corede Noroeste Colonial (Regional Council of Development) region comparatively to the group of the regions formed by the Coredes of the Rio Grande do Sul State. The paper analyses too the industrial specialization these sectors among the municipal districts inside the region of the Noroeste Colonial. The Locacionals Quotients and Gini Locacional's Coefficients were calculated, for the Coredes and the municipal districts, with base in the number of establishments and in the number of employees. A concentration and specialization was verified in the industry metal-mechanic and in the industry of the wood and of the furniture in some municipal districts of the region Noroeste Colonial, especially in relation to the number of employees.
