- Abstract
- This paper seeks to analyze issues of debate about the Amazon development during 1946-66 years as component of regional development planning and its relation with the developmentalism discuss which was taking place on Brazilian national set. Thus, we evaluate the relation between national and regional propositions. We believe that i) the debate which emerge about Amazon development during 40’s presents an strongly relation with the national debate about the developmentalism, ii) as well as those points present similarities they are also different, because the heterogeneity between Amazon region and south and southeast regions of Brazil. Thus, interlacing the national developmentalism thought with the formation of a Amazon propositions needs of a detailed study to understand how the national debate influenced the regional context.
