Productive structure and multipliers of intersectorial impact of Corede-Sul of Rio Grande do Sul: an input-output analysis

Abstract
ABSTRACT The aim of this paper is to analyze the production structure of South COREDE of the state Rio Grande do Sul, identifying the key segments for the economy of the region and calculating intersectoral impact multipliers for output, value added and employment. The method used was the input-output model, which breaks the flow of inputs in the productive sectors and product sales to final demand. The array of input-output COREDE South was estimated by the regionalization of the matrix of the state of Rio Grande do Sul, with the opening of 26 production sectors and for the base year of 2003. The results showed that the structure of the region is not very diversified, and the key activities of COREDE are basically related to agro-industrial sectors and services.
