Abstract
Neoliberalism has become an international ideological movement working to become the political and economic project of capitalism in the 80’s and 90’. The movement originates in the developments of the liberal economic theory and its critics to the politics of economic planning proposed by Keynes in the 30’s in Great Britain. With the leadership of the Mont Pelerin Society in the 40’s, the ideological movement that started in Europe spread trough the world. Its is developed trough a network of intellectuals, universities, journalists, businessmen, corporate foundations and libertarian think tanks. The text is presented in four parts: the development of neoliberalism as an ideological movement and the creation of the Mont Pelerin Society; the expansion of the movement trough think tanks in Great Britain and the United States; and, finally, its expansion through the world in the 80’s.
