- This work makes a comparative analysis between tecnical based called "Green Revolution", divulged and implemented by the last years of the decade of the sixtins, and the beginning of the decade of the seventies, and of sustainable agricultural, based on the philosophy of the sustainable development, theme fron the RIO/92. This analysis, based on the revision of literature, about these both models of development, has with objective bring arguments to fundament the defence of the thesis that the ampliation of the levels of competitiviness agriculture, at first place of Rio Grande do Sul, passes transformations at thecnical basis of its productive process.
