A burguesia industrial gaúcha e suas tentativas de organização: de sua origem a 1930

Resumo

Literature about organization attempts made by the Rio Grande do Sul's bourgeoisie during the First Republic is reviewed in the present article. Firstly it focuses the beginnig of state industrialization process, identifying the origin of capital invested in manufactoring. Afterwords, studies the imigration process and political activity then developed. Finally, on attempt is made to show that the industrial bourgeoisie's engagement in the hegemonic alliance organized by the Partido Republicano Rio-Grandense worhed, to some extent, as a restraint to their self-organization.
