Perspectivas de crescimento industrial: o caso da amazônia

Resumen

This article is concerned with the Amazon industrial activity growth. After analysing the evolution of industrial regional sector thiough the last two decades, as a response t o the spatial impacts of the Brazilian industrialization process, as weU as to the set of regional economie policy instniments adopted, we have tried to sketch an outline for the main future paths open t o the industrial iregional expansion. By the same token, we also identified the possible positive factors, vis-à-vis the limitations imposed by the major conditionalitíes to the maintenance of Amazon industrial growth.
