Restropectiva dos regimes cambiais brasileiros com ênfase em bandas de câmbio

Abstract

This paper describes the main exchange rate regimes giving emphasis to the exchange rate bands. It presents the evolution of the International monetary system, analysing also the different Brazilian exchange rate regimes. It specially deals with the band period from the Real Plan, which had preveiled until the flexible exchange rate system started in the beginning of 1999.
