Resumen

Withih the logic of the innovation process and its impact on the economic activity, there is a wide research program on which this article incurs. Its aim: to obtain from this agenda a couple of criteria for sketching an alternative approach to industrial competitiveness. In it may be found a discussion of the notions of paradigm and technological trajectory, a confrontation of the evolutionist model of innovation diffusion with the "conventional" theories, and the establishment of relations between innovation and competitiveness.
