The Global Financial Crisis and the Reform of the International Financial Architecture

Abstract

This paper analyses the impacts of global financial crisis on the debate on reforms of the international financial architecture. It is argued that there is no clear evidence, until now, that this time there would be a new consensus with enough power to radically change the balance of power between financial sector and “real world” economy. In this particular regard it is difficult to imagine a Bretton Woods kind of reforms.
