Historical conditions of economic planning within capitalism

Abstract

The paper describes the “economic planning of capitalist nature” by comparing it with the socialist system. It is argued that the necessary tools for conscious production and distribution are created as an imposition of late capitalism. Such imposition is reflected, on one side, in the keynesian revolution and on the other, in the development of the discipline of Econometrics. It is shown that the element that distinguishes modes of production that employ planning is the economic plan’s goal.
