Structure and governança standards in local productive arrangements in Brasil

Abstract

This paper aims to contribute to the understanding governance in local productive arrangements. The study was based on data collected in 2004, of 28 arrangements in several States and Regions of Brazil. In the paper, It is studied the existence of three types of governance: collective, contractual and market governance. The results show, first, that there are different types of governance, and, second, that there is correlation between sectors of activity and types of governance.
