The processes of continuous production in Latin-America: a road for the post-taylorism?

This paper proposes a reflexion on the work organization in industries characterized by post-taylorist continuous production. In the first part the transition from taylorist modelo an other one based on the ideas of “competence” and “communication” is considered. In the second part the focus is on the main characteristics of the industries of continuous production in which post-taylorists procedures have been most developed. In the third part of the paper some technical and social peculiarities of the work in a dairy industry of Uruguay are presented. The final considerations indicate that in the case examined in Uruguay, in the same way that in the studies made in industries of production continuous Brazilian, nowadays traditional and new forms of work organization have been combined.Downloads
