Uma estimação dos custos da criminalidade em Belo Horizonte

Abstract

This article attempts to measure part of the indirect costs of criminality in Belo Horizonte city, from the crime rates impact analysis over the price of residential apartments perspective. The methodology used is the Hedonic Price Model, which is usually applied to measure prices of goods that don’t have a direct market established. The development of such model, to estimate the costs of violence, is unpublished in Brazil.
