Microcrédito e capacidade de pagamento dos agricultores familiares: a experiência do programa RS Rural no Rio Grande do Sul

Abstract

In this paper we analyze the results of the component “Actions for Income Generation with Reimbursement” which is a program of public policies taken by the Government of the State of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, called RS Rural. This program aims at helping rural populations throughout the allocation of funds to small farmers in situations of poverty and economic fragility. In those actions that propose the reimbursement of financed resources, the beneficiaries may finance machinery, equipment, infrastructure, inputs, etc. This paper synthesizes a broader research made by the authors, with a field research and questionnaire application based on a sample of beneficiaries, with the goal of evaluating the conditions of reimbursement of family farmers that participate in the program.
