Uma visão histórica sobre o problema do padrão de financiamento da economia brasileira

Abstract

This paper intends to inquire into the relationship between deficit, public debt and economic performance in Brazil from post-war until the 80’s. The analysis is done taking in account the context previous to 1964, the institutional reforms introduced afterward and the crisis of this financing pattern in the 80’s.
