The author points out that the roats of inflation in Latin American countries are basicallyin some politicalandsociologicalconditions,suchas:their urbanization,industrialization, exchange rate overvaluation and price control progiams. There is no pact among the economic groups, thus they figth foi shares of the national income. As the governments can not or do not want to distribute income, they try to accomodate ali claims, producing deficits and maintaining inflatio
