A crise econômica e o emprego no México

Resumo

Since December 1994 México fell back into a deep economic crisis that was due to an 100% devaluation of its currency and a dramatic default crisis. Nevertheless, that crisis cannot be explained only by what happened at the moment. It was a response to deeper factors, that have deep impacts on employment, and are discussed sistematically in this paper. Based on economic and sociological considerations and on an analysis of the Mexican labour market, the main consequences of that crisis for employment in México are presented.
