Los empresários en el desarrollo chileno

Resumo

By an analysis of the structural transformations in Chile's economy in the last decade, the paper points out great transformations also in the composition of the economic groups, as well as a restructuration in the internal composition of the entrepreneurial class. The profile of the new entrepreneurs that appeared in Chilean economy in the 80's is defined through an empirical research that investigates their social origin, their professional formation and qualification, their opportunities, and their individual trajectories. This allowed us to define their social identity as politic and economic agents that are independent of the Chilean State and that are inserted in the world market.
